Martin Luther King Jr.
This speech to is significant because I can relate to it. It was a model to let us know what we as one must strive for. It also allowed us to see in remembrance of where we came from it shows leadership because it had to take courage and the ability to be brave in order to stand in front of thousands to address a issue that could have had him killed on the spot with hesitance of whether he would be shown justice or not. It is relevant to possibility because when Martin gave this speech he did not know what to come he didn't know if African Americans were going to receive freedom neither did he know if that what he said would make an impact but he yet took a stand a stand of courage and faith and by his many acts of possibility he transformed and started a recreation of the mindset of the men and women that surrounded him his act of possibility not only impacted him and African Americans but it also shaped people of all ethnicity white Jewish any ethnicity. I believe this speech is relevant to the emerging leaders program because we are all going to come to point where we are challenged with something we are passionate about but it is up to us whether we are going to take a stand for it or it will be up to us to act on it and make a different even if what we are passionate about is not as big at Dr. Kings we still as emerging leaders have a duty to lead on it. i believe it is relevant to your beginning depend upon your end because it determines the path you will take and how you will finish your race if Dr. King never chose to lead nor did he chose to speak on what he believed all the pain and fear and also the change and shift in the culture would have never happened. this speech is effective be he spoke from the heart he also spoke for the people who afraid he was the voice during that time where most lied silent because they did not have a choice but to be.
